High - Efficiency Preparation of Welded Aluminum Nitride Ceramic Samples

Aluminum nitride ceramic is a material with excellent comprehensive properties. It has a hexagonal wurtzite structure and is mostly gray or off - white. Besides features such as high thermal conductivity, high insulation, and a thermal expansion coefficient matching that of silicon, it also has high strength, high hardness, and good chemical stability. It is widely used in fields such as electronics, lighting, aerospace, etc., and is a high - performance ceramic material with great potential. To accurately analyze its properties, metallographic sample preparation is crucial! For aluminum nitride ceramic samples, the four - step POS disc method is recommended for preparation. The following is the sample preparation process for your reference.

1 : Grind the sample flat using a DiaRe resin diamond grinding disc.
2 : Conduct fine grinding with a POS grinding disc and 9μm PD - WT polycrystalline diamond.
3 : Polish with a GF - JP polishing cloth and 3μm PD - WT polycrystalline diamond polishing solution.
4 : Perform final polishing with a ZN - ZP polishing cloth and SO - T401 50 - nanometer silica polishing solution.
